We will use four locations for this year’s Christmas Showcase Camp. You can familiarize yourself (please do) with these locations by visiting the following website:
Also, here are the physical addresses of each of these venues:
Neyland-Thompson Indoor Football Facility –1551 Lake Loudoun Blvd, Knoxville, TN 37916. This is a very large building – campers will need to enter at the northeast entrance (along Lake Loudoun Blvd, closest to Johnny Majors Dr.).
Softball Cages and Clubhouse - 2323 Stephenson Drive, Knoxville, TN 37916
Volleyball Practice Facility – 2321 Stephenson Drive, Knoxville, TN 37916
Baseball Cages – 1590 Todd Helton Dr., Knoxville, TN 37916. To reach the cages, drive or walk around behind the outfield fence and the indoor cages are located at the end of the first base line in deep right field.
All campers will start on Saturday at the Neyland-Thompson Indoor Football Facility. Depending on your group you will either stay in the football facility for the rest of the day or rotate between the three other buildings. On Sunday, the groups will switch. The five groups who were rotating between Softball, Volleyball and the Baseball Cages on Saturday will be in the indoor football facility for all of Sunday. Those that were in the indoor on Saturday will rotate between Softball, Volleyball and the Baseball Cages on Sunday. You will be able to walk between softball and volleyball, however, you will need to drive your child (about 1 mile) to and from the baseball cages and softball/volleyball.
At check in on Saturday you will get your group number and an instruction sheet/map that will tell you when and where you will be during camp. Please familiarize yourselves as much as possible with these locations prior to camp in order to make the day you are rotating go as smooth as possible.

 What to Bring

Campers should bring their glove, batting helmet, bat, and batting gloves - please make sure everything is clearly marked. Catchers should bring catching gear to the catching option only. Please bring tennis shoes, as cleats are not allowed in any of the indoor areas. Also, please make sure your child has appropriate cold-weather/rain gear to get between buildings, as well as, to and from your vehicle. You may want to bring an umbrella if rain is forecasted.
Pitchers do not need to bring a catcher to catch them.
Water stations will be available at each site.
Also, seating is very limited. You may want to bring portable chairs if you are staying to observe.

Each day everyone will get at a 10-minute break from 10:45 to 10:55 – please make sure your camper eats a solid breakfast and packs a light snack if you think they might need it.
On Sunday, there will be a 50 minute break between the end of the main camp and the pitching and catching options.
If you are new to Knoxville, there are a large number of restaurants on Cumberland Ave. just north of campus. Here’s an address you can plug in to get there:
2000 Cumberland Ave, Knoxville, TN 37916

 Facility Rules for All Venues

There are 2 main rules all campers and parents must abide by:
1) No outside food or beverages are allowed in the facilities. We’re using football’s, volleyball’s and baseball’s facilities and we want to be able to keep using them. We’ll make an exception with the snacks for both Saturday and Sunday, but please make sure to keep it small (only a ten minute break) and to throw away the wrappers.
2) Parents must stay off of the instructional areas. Please keep off of the turf in the indoor football facility and stay in the middle between the 2 sets of cages at baseball. Also, due to insuring safety within confined spaces, parents WILL NOT be able to enter the softball hitting cages, the film room for mental game or both of the two stations in the volleyball facility. While your child is at those stations you are welcome to wait inside the softball clubhouse.

There is a UT Basketball Game at 3pm on Saturday. Because of this we have adjusted Saturday’s camp to run from 8am to 1pm. You should not need to pay for parking and we will send you more detailed parking information about 1 week prior to camp.

A camp store will be available before, during and following the camp. Campers will be able to purchase a variety of UT softball clothing and merchandise. The store will accept cash, Visa or MasterCard.
