Our most popular two-day camp will teach you the fundamentals and drills used by the UT softball team, focusing on: hitting for power and average, increasing bat speed, mental game strategies, speed developing drills, base running, throwing and defensive skills. Clinicians will include all members of the UT softball coaching staff, current and former players, and numerous guest college coaches from throughout the nation. Campers will have the opportunity to both improve their game and showcase their skills for numerous college programs, especially the University of Tennessee. Pitchers and Catchers can sign-up for an additional 3 hours of position specific instruction.

December 14th-15th, 2019

Our Primary Location will be the Neyland-Thompson Indoor Football Facility. We will also utilize the indoor facilities at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium, the Volleyball Practice Facility and Baseball’s Indoor Cages. You will need your own transportation to travel between the venues (at most 1.2 miles apart).

Open to all girls, ages 8-18 (cannot be enrolled in college yet) and skill levels from beginner to advanced.

Main Camp: Saturday 2:00pm to 8:00pm, Sunday 8:00am to 1:00pm
Pitching Option: Saturday 10:00am to 1:00pm
Catching Option: Sunday 1:30pm to 4:30pm
Being a winter camp, times may fluctuate due to weather or to work around football’s bowl game preparations.

Main Camp:  $250
Pitching/Catching Option: $90 each (you must be enrolled in the main camp to sign up for a pitching or catching option.)

Pitchers enrolled in the pitching option will register on the 14th at the Neyland-Thompson Indoor Football Facility at 9:30am. ALL OTHER campers will also register on the 14th at the Neyland-Thompson Indoor Football Facility between 1 and 1:45 pm. Catchers enrolled in the catching option will not need to re-register.

Full refund (minus registration fee) available if cancellation by email occurs by at least 7 days prior to your scheduled event (168 hours prior to camp start time). If within 7 days, a 50% refund will be given due to cancellation. No refunds will be issued after the event has started.


 Will the scheduled times change at all?

It’s possible! Most of our instructional areas are outdoors and subject to weather. As such, the times may be altered at the coach’s discretion to facilitate instruction. Any time changes are made, an e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address you entered when registering.

We have never had to cancel a camp before, however, in the event that we need to cancel a camp, we will refund all tuition minus the online registration fee of ($13.90). If we need to cancel part of a camp (due to excessive weather or any other unforeseen circumstance) we will refund a percentage of the tuition based on the percentage of instruction that was cancelled. We will not issue a refund if 50%, or more, of the instruction has been completed.

Neyland-Thompson Indoor Football Facility –1551 Lake Loudoun Blvd, Knoxville, TN 37916. This is a very large building – campers will need to enter at the northeast entrance (along Lake Loudoun Blvd, closest to Johnny Majors Dr.).
Softball Cages and Clubhouse - 2323 Stephenson Drive, Knoxville, TN 37916
Volleyball Practice Facility – 2321 Stephenson Drive, Knoxville, TN 37916
Baseball Cages – 1590 Todd Helton Dr., Knoxville, TN 37916. To reach the cages, drive or walk around behind the outfield fence and the indoor cages are located at the end of the first base line in deep right field.

 What should I bring?

Campers should bring their glove, batting helmet, bat and comfortable, weather appropriate clothes - please make sure everything is clearly marked. Please bring tennis shoes, as cleats are not allowed in any of the indoor areas. If you are signed up for a catching option, you should bring your catching gear. For camps over five hours, we will have a lunch break where parents can take their kids to a large number of local restaurants or campers can bring their own sack lunch. Water and Gatorade will be provided at each station.

Pitchers DO NOT need to bring someone to catch for them at any of our camps or their bats and batting helmets.

 What happens if there is an injury?

We will have a certified trainer on site to deal with any injuries. Campers will need to have their own health insurance to participate. Providing the name of your carrier and policy number is part of the registration.

 Can parents stay and watch?

Absolutely! However, parents are asked to stay off of all instructional areas.

 Will there be a camp store to purchase UT Softball merchandise?

Yes, a camp store will be available before, during and following the camp. Campers will be able to purchase a variety of UT softball clothing and merchandise. The store will accept cash, Visa or MasterCard.
